FUNKY MAMA, by DANNY GATTON

Danny Gatton was probably the best guitarist there was, at least from a look-what-he-can-do viewpoint. This video doesn't show him at his highest skill level, but note that he's playing two parts at once.
The sax player is pretty awesome as well (he's also a great trumpet player).

ITCHYCOO PARK, by THE SMALL FACES

This song was a big hit in 1968, and the first time that The Small Faces had any success in the U.S. It probably captured the elusive youthful spirit of the times better than any other song.

The biggest competition for The Beatles at the time, The Rolling Stones had great success with this single.

This song isn't very heavy compared to a lot of Slipknot's songs but it's still New-Metal.

The song is dedicated to Slipknot's late bass player Paul Gray.
